A platform for the writers who don't always get the chance to be heard.

Our story

The Opinions began as an idea from Akbar Khan, Principal of a Government High School and a man deeply devoted to education. He saw how many talented students and young writers around him never really got the chance to have their thoughts read, and he wanted a place where that could change.

His son, Faizan AK Azaad — a BS English graduate, web developer and writer from Bannu, Pakistan — turned that idea into reality. Faizan designed and programmed the entire platform from the ground up, and continues to operate it himself today.

The Opinions exists to carry ideas from one mind to another, to encourage writers who might otherwise stay quiet, and to bring students, teachers, scholars and the wider community closer to reading, writing, thinking and creativity — in both Urdu and English. What began as one idea has grown into a working platform, with member submissions reviewed by a small team, the best of them published for readers everywhere, alongside a daily blog and a growing library of PDF books.

Publications

We encourage writers and researchers — from students to scholars, and especially beginners who haven't been given a chance elsewhere — and share their authentic work on our platform. This includes essays, opinions, articles, poems, and literary, academic and historical writing, in both Urdu and English.

Daily blog

Every day we share informational posts in our blog section — current affairs, historical content, and material that students, teachers, scholars and readers of every kind can learn from.

PDF books

Our PDF Books section shares books, research papers and reports directly with our readers, free to browse and download.

How submissions work

From the moment you submit your work to the moment it's published — here's exactly what happens.

Submit your work

Fill out the submission form with your essay, article, poem, or other academic or literary piece.

Reviewed by our team

A small review team reads every submission for quality, originality, and fit with The Opinions.

Approved or rejected

If your piece meets our standards, it's approved for publishing. If it doesn't — for whatever reason — it's rejected, and you're free to revise and resubmit.

Published in 2–5 days

Approved work usually goes live on the Publications page within two to five days.

Free to share elsewhere after 5 days

If your piece hasn't been published within 5 days, you're free to share it wherever else you'd like.

Founder, Developer & Operator

Faizan is a BS English graduate, web developer and writer from Bannu, Pakistan. He designed and programmed The Opinions from the ground up, and operates it himself today.

Akbar Khan

Original Idea
